a cliffhanger? how could you??

very not fair :( but i appreciate the update (actually, that's a bit of an understatement - i think i might have squealed when i saw it). you amuse me to no end.

i actually have not as of yet acquired the fiddler's fakebook - i was just told that it was the thing to get, and was relaying the message. i have, however, found a site with many of the tunes we've been playing online (someone at one of the sessions told me about this one, too) at http://www.ceolas.org/pub/tunes/tunes.pdf/SessionTunes.pdf - i spend a long time going through them this evening. there's some good hornpipes. i got there from http://www.ceolas.org/tunes/#pdf and there's a bunch more tune books you can get to from that page. fun, fun, fun :)

did you see melanie? how is she handling life at sea? i've just started Two Years Before the Mast for mystic - i bought it today at a used book store, and the only copy they had was a really nice hardcover that looks almost like its bound in leather (i don't think it actually is, but it has that look) and it's dark green with gold decorations and just really exciting - and only $7. and it has that really nice old book smell *swoons*. now i just have to find moby dick and cod...and some pants that dry quickly (no cotton?? how am i supposed to live without cotton??) and a bunch of other gear *receives pained look from wallet*.

i'm making a huge batch of granola tomorrow morning.

let me know if you want catherine's contact info (inverness resident and very friendly fiddler our age). you should definitely go to inverness if you have some time...now i'm planning out schemes to get to inverness myself, but i think paying tuition might be more important. i will also give you advice on other places to go on weekend trips while you're in scotland, and places to stay there, if you would like. oh! i know you're a vegetarian, but does that include fish and chips if they're really good? anyway, there's other reasons to go to oban even if you can't eat fish and chips (great, now i have a craving for fish and chips...in the middle of michigan, thousands of miles away from any edible fish). oh i'm so excited for you going to scotland all semeseter! and for me being in mystic all semster...and rachel in ireland...we're just so cool :) life is good.

ok, now i've made myself hungry, so i'm going to go eat dinner and watch buffy. thanks eversomuch for the update of goat-girl and friends, and keep writing. i have to know how they get away from voldemort.

p.s. you should have a musical episode.
