But you and I, our love will never die, but guess who'll cry come first of May

This week's entry is kind of hard to write, because most of what's in my Word journal is happy ranting about City of Bones. Let's see what I can pick out, though. Um... looks like a couple of movies and some blathering about mascara. Hey, wait, come back! It's witty blathering, I swear!

So, not much happening. I think I’ll go see Spidey 3 this afternoon, not because I’m particularly interested in the film but because it’s playing in one of the theatres I haven’t been in yet, the shiny white one where all the premieres happen. Also it is cheaper than going to a multiplex, remarkably.

Ye Olde Movie Reviewe: “Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow”. Eh. I want Gwyneth Paltrow’s hat. But I got annoyed and started yelling at them for not dislodging the rock from the plane when they surfaced. ‘Cause, you know, a successful fast getaway kind of entails being able to steer.

Bought brown-black mascara, which I think will be a good color for everyday. I will reserve the black stuff for Cheery Pseudo-Goth escapades, or whenever I need to have a rockstar persona. Considering that I am not in fact a rockstar, this happens surprisingly often. Apparently, however, I need not telescoping but rather volumizing mascara. Oh well. At least the container is shaped like a ... telescope. I find this strangely wonderful.

Ye Newe Movie Reviewe: “Spiderman 3” Eh. I have to admit I don’t particularly care about either of the previous two Spideys, but I wanted to see the inside of the theatre it’s playing at. The big one where they had the Shrek 3 premier this morning (I saw the TV cameras and crowds on my way to buy groceries). They’re always having premiers there. Anyway, it is HUGE. There was a line around the block, and the theatre was only half full. I am impressed. But not by the movie, which was kind of boring. And MJ is totally useless. Fine, so I teared up a little when a spoilery thing happened, but I’d been expecting it for two hours, and the teariness was because I miss my own friends. So there.

I must now write about my "Traumurlaub". Previous assignments: "Traumpartner", "Traumhaus"... Look, I understand that certain eta: German psychologists had a thing about dreams, really. And that we have to learn to write somehow. But this is a bit much.

eta: I've started reading Three Men in a Boat, To Say Nothing of the Dog. Captures my mood rather well. I require a Victorian boat-trip on the Thames, immediately.
