My friends, some or many of you may know that I was in New York and Boston recently. I have been back in CA for a while, but various factors prevent me from saying a lot about the reason for my trip.
To those who lent me sofa space, I thank you with hugs and kisses and cookies, and hope you enjoyed my company as much as I did yours.
To all those whom I would have loved to see and didn’t, I apologize. This was a brief trip for interviews, arranged at the last minute, and I was operating within some deadlines with regard to airplane tickets. I didn’t feel that I could call you up and say, “Hey, are you free tomorrow to drive a long way to see me for about five minutes?” with no prior warning. I was really stressed out about things and didn’t have my act together at all, for which I am extremely sorry. It is the dearest wish of my heart that you will forgive me for not arranging my plans better.
