List your current six favourite songs, then pick six other people that have to do the same... Subject to change, and probably will shortly. This was harder than it looks, because most of what I listen to is non-vocal. Ah well, here goes (with commentary, because I love commentary):

Boozing – no idea who originally wrote it, but I heard it on a John Roberts & Tony Barrand LP, and they allegedly learned it from Tim Hart & Maddy Prior. My favorite rendition is the one people wandering through the courtyard a couple of weeks ago would have heard from 2E, sung by the lovely Melanie and myself in a fit of post-paperage musicality.
Safe in the Harbour - music and lyrics by Eric Bogle, but I’ve only heard Margaret Christl’s version.
The Night Pat Murphy Died - Great Big Sea. Because I had to pick one.
Hush, Hush - lyrics by Jim MacLean, sung by Laura Cortese. Not sure about the music, but suspect the tune is or is derived from a traditional waltz.
Nicaragua Night - Holly Near. This song makes my scalp tingle.
Don’t Be the Bunny - cannot be bothered to go see who wrote it. It’s from Urinetown: The Musical, which is dubious, brilliant, and utterly ridiculous. Hence, my icon.
