Ahhhh. Wherefore the lack of updating and the occasional attacks of sudden, stabbing panic?

Oh, right. It’s November. Crazy Month. And I’ve been watching Buffy again. And worrying about the future, in a general sort of way. Not a good combination.

und die Angst kommt übernacht... Thanks for articulating it so clearly, Nena.

But! All is not woe and useless library homepages (although those make up a significant fraction of my life, let me tell you).

Exhibit A: Haircuts were achieved as of last Thursday. [livejournal.com profile] cadragongirl and I have both needed them for months but have been putting it off and putting it off, so we finally just made appointments at the same time and went together. It was fun! We came out smelling, not inappropriately, like girly hair products! The front desk person gave me a lollipop! And, at the end of it, I have shorter hair. So that's good.

Exhibit B: I got [livejournal.com profile] cadragongirl hooked on Monarch of the Glen, so now we're watching that as a break from things with subtitles until more things get subbed. Poor Archie. His life is so hard, but we only laugh at his pain. We are, after all, hardened viewers accustomed to kdrama. We laugh at his pain A LOT.

Exhibit C: It was absolutely howling rain this morning, which filled me with great and splashy glee. Perfect weather: cool but not too cold, rain bucketing down, and me in my rain boots prancing along full of energy and grinning. I took the long way through the park past the (closed) rose garden, and I was so happy I almost cried.
