I kind of dyed my hair red today
“Kind of” as in
a4yroldfaerie actually did all of the work, and as in most of it is just a much redder brown than it was before. But because of timing shenanigans, my roots are actually much redder than the rest of it, and I am now firmly convinced that red-gold is the color hair I was intended to have. It's amazing. The ends were looking pretty fried by the time I got home, but I put some almond oil on and that seems to be helping.
I’ve never really understood what a “peachy glow” looks like, but I’m pretty sure I have one now. And blue-ish indigo still looks awesome on me.
I expect the change will go un-commented upon at work tomorrow, since we have a big author event going on and nobody will have time or attention to notice my river of flame-colored tresses. Also there will be no river, because it will be sensibly clipped up and out of the way so I can actually do my job. Also also, most of it (as previously noted) is not quite flame-colored.
But it's close enough. ♥
