My Mum's been learning fiddle for a number of years now, from no musical expreience. We got her a £50 violin at first to see if she was serious, now she has a bit better one, and the old one sits under the hall table as decoration. She comissioned a piece from Alastair McCulloch for her and Dad's silver wedding anniversary.
