Am back from Nova Scotia!

Friday, June 3
Mmm, cheesecake. Also airplanes, and cute Canadian rental car employees.

Saturday, June 4
Mmm, rental cars. In which I inflict Halali upon my poor father, and acquire In My Hands and Up (yay no import prices!) on Cape Breton Island. I also horrify the waitress by asking for a vegetarian option. Good grief, what ARE my upstairs neighbors doing?!

Sunday, June 5
In which there are many mosquitoes. We succeed in following the directions to the stone foundation and chimney of the Corbett house on Boularderie Island, and there are more mosquitoes. I horrify the waiter by asking for the vegetarian special.

Monday, June 6
In which we drive from Baddeck to Halifax. I subject my poor father to newly-purchased Natalie MacMaster, Great Big Sea (above) and Ashley MacIsaac. In Halifax, there are glassblowers and bread pudding. I do not horrify the pub waitress, as there is pesto pizza. Hah!

& how are the new Great Big Sea albums? more fabulousness i hope? & how was halifax? the only connection i have to the place is from barret's privateers - great song, btw. :D sounds like you had lots of fun. hope you took lots of cool pictures & will be either posting or sending them to us. btw, did you manage to discover anything about ye olde ancestors? & was it really that bad, with your father? he doesn't seem the type who would object to natalie macmaster &/or great big sea...

Up to standard, I assure you. My dad's not a bad lot musically, he just prefers silence while driving.
