yay The Forsyte Saga!! but (as I was telling my mom 2 days ago), I enjoy the first series Much better than the second. in the second that wretched girl makes a complete mess out of everything! she could have had true love! she could have Not Fucked It Up! but Noooo. *grrr* see, I get mad just thinking about it. *le sigh* but I love the first one. (and dude, of course it's the second my mom got me for a gift-time, a few years back. heh.)
I love Gina McKee. and this series gave me a love for Rupert Graves. and of course we have to love/be creeped out by Soames. poor twisted dude. ^_^ --
erm, why did you go see "Music and Lyrics"? I hadn't expected that. I might end up seeing it in video, but that's because I've a weakness for romantic comedies of many levels of good-to-badness. --
space opera, eh? I haven't seen Andromeda, but am with you on the rest. about the below: all are sf-related but not all are the feel you're looking for. my brain isn't being as helpful with recollections as it could be. and more are hovering on the fringe of my mind, heh.
ok, there was this movie set in space that my brother and I watched when he was rather young, that I have no idea of the title but I've been wanting to see it again because it was so weird. but that doesn't help.
films: have you seen The Ewok Adventure and Return of the Ewok? although I think those are mostly set on the planet of Endor or whatnot. golly it's been a long time since I saw those. if you haven't read the Vorkosigan books (L.M. Bujold) well Do So! hm. Starship Troopers was a painful film. The Last Starfighter, fun. have you seen Fifth Element? Wing Commander was ok. the film Red Planet was, as well.
tv: ooh! Stargate! my brother got us into that one. Battlestar Galactica (haven't seen much of the new series but everyone loves it). I haven't seen any of Babylon 5 but some of my friends love it. there was a series called Lexx that was weird but fun.
