Also Our One True Love Interest is hot, and can do accents.
*g* yes indeed. ^_^ I remember I first saw him in 2002, in an episode of Inspector Lynley, and ever since then I've looked out for him. it always disorients me a bit, how everyone knows who he is these days due to Narnia and the Last King of Scotland and so forth.
it's great you got to hang out with Melanie! I haven't seen her in ages and ages :( one of these months I'll have to come down to NYC and you can show me around. my experience with the city is so limited that I could basically take a map and explore by square blocks, *g* I remember the Strand (went with you and Rachel! must go back!), and I've been to ... erm... Ellis Island (we climbed to the observation deck, but I'd rather look at the statue than climb it). I've been to South Street Seaport (on a band trip) but that was neither interesting nor location-special. so much to see! so much to experience!
DH Lawrence writes weird, weird books. I first read The Fox when I was in 10th grade or so (as leisure reading, no less!) and he got my head all dreamlike and muddled. then in college we read The Rainbow and the same thing happened. all that sensuality and tension and feeling-trapped! they were good, but not pleasant to read.
Octavian Caesar, *chuckles* that actor amuses me. made quite a good Mr Bingley, or at least in keeping with the earlier one. looks like he's in the upcoming Cranford as well (I am so excited about that! only a month and some to go.)
