It's here!

Well, okay, it’s just raining right now, and it’s not even windy, and I’m pretty sure it’s not even a thunderstorm, that’s just the new people moving in down the hall. Still, there is a definite sense of “it’s begun!” breaking up the anticipation that’s been everywhere the past 24 hours.

That is a lot of rain. Guess I better go lock the windows.

And then maybe fiddle.

Aha! Someone listens to the Weepies. I had no further external evidence of their existence other than the fact that Pandora seems to think that they're the only other band that Girlyman is reminiscent of.

May the most exciting part of the storm be the fiddling!

Funny story about that song. I was reading Amy & Roger's Epic Detour (a YA novel recommended to me by two of my co-workers) last week and skimming the four or five playlists interspersed throughout the narrative (it's about a road trip: hence, playlists!). I got to the last one and thought, hey, I think have that song for some reason! I have never actually listened to it! I should listen to it as I finish the book! I did, and really liked it. I plan to check out some more of their stuff at some point.

So far all that's happened is some rain and wind and massive humidity... I figure if the power goes out and there's not enough natural light to read by, well, I don't need to be able to SEE to fiddle! ;)
