LJ! ♥ I did not abandon you. I was promoted. With great responsibility comes great stress and great distraction and great lack of time for orderly thoughts.

Also a bunch of new keys. I now walk about jingling like a whole sleigh ride.

But I've somehow found time to finish season 1 of Slings & Arrows, and to corrupt co-workers with kdramas. Well, okay, one. I am a bad influence, it is true. Look, it's not my fault everybody loves cross-dressing, plucky heroines, and sageuk fashion.

...

Lately I've been having a giant '90s nostalgia blast. This mostly takes the form of late '90s-early-'00s music cravings (I spent the first half of the decade being under a virtual rock, and also in elementary school) gleaned from 10 Things I Hate about You and Clueless. I think I'm burned out on boybands (thanks Japan), but early Avril Lavigne, No Doubt, and Alanis Morrisette are on repeat at the moment. What's your favorite music from that era?

Maybe this is some kind of birthday-incipient crisis. Maybe it's the influence of watching Midnight in Paris twice.

Maybe I just want to actually recognize something next time I get dragged to live-band karaoke. XD

Is it creepy for me to comment on a post in which I am mentioned? Well, too bad.

Oh '90s music. For me, it was Alanis, Metallica, The Smiths, and assorted grunge bands, esp. those that came up in soundtracks for Buffy or Daria.

I called my sister this weekend to see if she continued to survive after emerging from wedding rubble, and she wants me to tell you that she has watched 3 episodes of City Hunter. Also, she is in the middle of reading Wicked Gentlemen, and I am quite pleased with myself about that.

Asian-drama corruption was probably inevitable (resistance was, in the end, futile), but you take the credit, yes. Actually, it's amazing, considering the sister I have, that you stole her thunder. I was resisting my sister's enthusiam in the spiteful, ornery way that a certain SC resists our Young Miles blandishments. But she cannot escape us forever.

I forgot the name of the kdrama you hooked me on, but I described it to my sister with much excited babbling. After she figured it out, she was pleased and informed me that it is a classic drama and she has watched it in ALL its incarnations (Japanese, Taiwanese, Korean). Jesus Christ. Her favorite character is one that shows up later in the series, who I have apparently not seen yet.

Also, my other sibling has begun reading Young Miles! Heheheh.

Hahaha, not really, I think. XD I talk about lots of people who comment here. Actually, I mostly only talk about people who I know read this journal. Hmm.

CITY HUNTER!!! ♥♥♥♥♥ I await her opinion.

It's Sungkyunkwan Scandal (took me forever to memorize that. Doesn't help that most streaming sites spell it "Scandel"). Just you wait, Hana Yori Dango is definitely next. Elite schools! Class warfare! Punching her one true love in the face! The fashion! MY GOD, THE FASHION.

Heheheh. Eeeeeexcellent.
