Since I am cyber-incompetent at this point in my life, I'm going to do this the fun way and reply many, many times to my own update. I've got the making-icons-with-Appleworks thing honed down to a 5-minute process now, and have been wasting time that should have been spent on Lytechinus, bless their spines. Besides, searching through liner notes, Japanese poetry, and Milton for lovely, enigmatic phrases to put on the icons is much more fun. Do as your APT says, not as she does, y'all hear now?

The words are from a poem by Mibu no Tadamine of 9th century Japan, translated by Kenneth Rexroth. If anybody cares. The picture is by Robert Vavra.

Thankee! Yours speaks to me as well.

And as for this one: share the Loreena McKennit love, people! I finally understand the sad dilemma faced by people who want more icons yet have limited cash. Alas and alack the day!
