The Latin Workshop is over. To be sure, there was a most excellent party and proper celebration after the final, but the fact remains: it is over. Everybody agreed that it was without question the best 10-week workshop EVAR. There was much weeping and sadness as I departed.
I wasn’t exactly happy about leaving, either. But I did get a cool t-shirt out of it. It says “Nulla servitus turpior est quam voluntaria (Seneca)” on the front, with a drawing of a toga-wearing garland-crowned monkey chained to a copy of Jones & Sidwell and looking unhappy. The back says “Primo Graeco biberunt more mox poculis maioribus”, with a bewildered sheep. Everybody wore theirs to the final, and it was all kinds of awesome.

Yesterday I drove with mom to IKEA to look at furniture. It was odd. Some stuff was nice, but most of it looked like ugly fake-wood dorm furniture ... oh wait.
On plus side, Valley of the Moon on Friday!
ETA: What all that t-shirt Latin means, btw, is approximately "No slavery is more base than voluntary (slavery)" and "At first they drank in the Greek fashion, but soon with bigger cups", which two sentiments pretty much sum up the whole workshop experience.
