Have just returned from most excellent Nameless Coffeeshop music thingy in Cambridge. Sang entire repertoire of Chuffed on trip back. Much folk-music happiness was found by all. Also scrumptious spicy Indian food. I return to my world inspired to write additional verses to The Pirate Blues, previously found only on Rachel's LJ. I think I've exhausted winter break, the library, and the science center carpet, though, so I need new material for complaining. The obvious solution: Dorm food!

The pasta is soggy, the milk is too dry
Drink up, me hearties, yo ho!
The cooks seem to think grapes are something you fry
Drink up, me hearties, yo ho!

Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate's life for me!

To be continued at some later time. No offense to the cooks, or at least the nice ones that say "good morning" to me every day. Maybe I should rag on the suppliers instead. *considers* Definitely promising.

Yeah... now if only I could figure out how the beginning goes! *wails* Everybody plays it differently! Boo to artistic license, say I. Or maybe yay. I am badly confuzzled by that jig. On plus side, I've mostly remembered the new one from last week. Yay for genuinely Irish jigs, anyway!

Yay for sheet music is all I have to say. I'm a bad traditionalist.
