And now for something cheerful
My biology book cost more than all my other books combined. *sigh* Still, my total expenditure on textbooks this week is about a hundred dollars cheaper than it was last time I took a biology class.
Also, said biology book comes with the following bonus: "Suggested pre-lab specimen enclosed. Observe animate and inanimate. Draw diagram. Live spider should be located inside packaging at top of book. If dead, animate observations may be omitted, but do not dispose of specimen immediately, as specimen may endure long periods of time without moving."

Sorry for the inane comment. I just am a bit gobsmacked.

jeez but that's a super-nifty thing for a text book to come with.
I am amazed and delighted ^_^

*confused* that what was unintentional? inclusion of spider? (didn't they write those instructions?) fact that spider was alive?
*bedtime for the kate*

I suspect so. And the instructions were definitely figments of my imagination.
It is a cute spider, though. Also, nice icon. :D
