Give me my Homer again!

Thought you'd escaped the Greek updates? Think again! OMG Attic prose is freaking FREAKY! It took me over an hour to do ONE SENTENCE of Lysias! Of course, his sentences are somewhat Dickensonian, if that's the word I want, but still.

On plus side, lab tomorrow. Whee!

me merimnas -- don't panic! Lysias is a little tricky at first, but nothing compared to Antiphon -- I mean, erm... you'll get the hang of it!! Are you reading On the Killing of Eratosthenes? Racy stuff. Who's teaching the course?

That was me, by the way. I was so excited about Greek, I forgot to log in!

*grin* We most certainly are reading On the Killing of Eratosthenes, as taught by Prof. Marvin. But not before we had a long debate about Socrates and rhetoric.

Thanks. It's just that there are so many tautas and toutos and toioutos and articular infinitives with the to at the beginning and the verb at the end of the sentence... *sigh* At least the vocab isn't bad.
