Antiphon? What Antiphon?
Ever wondered why I'm 3,000 miles from Butte County and still running? Here's why (excerpted from my SPECIAL CONSOLIDATED STATEWIDE ELECTION SAMPLE BALLOT, emphasis but not capitalization mine):
WHAT IF THEY HELD AN ELECTION AND THERE WAS NO ONE TO WORK AT THE POLLING PLACE?
Democracy is important to all of us, but, without the participation of the community, democracy can't work. Over the years, due to a multitude of reasons, including the increasing number of two-income families, the pool of persons available to work at the polling place has been steadily shrinking. That pool is now depleted. We need your help.
These people make my blood boil. Also, some of their grammar is questionable.
