Recording of the Actual Fiddleheads CD happened this morning. Very exciting. This is the real thing, folks!
Attempting to run an organization is very educational. If this keeps up, I may in time acquire People Skills. Or at the very least a solid list of "Do Not"s. Never let it be said that I have learned nothing these four years.

Date: 2006-03-06 07:26 pm (UTC)The CD contains all the goodies from last semester, plus a couple of extra duet and trio tracks. We have a lot of Cape Breton stuff this year, some really old Scottish reels, some Irish. I'll post the track list when it's finalized. And three songs! The Mist Covered Mountains, the Mingulay Boat Song, and Sylvie (a song about a girl who cross-dresses and highway-robs her fiancee as a test of his affection). We haven't decided what to call it yet. I wanted to call it "Sacrificing Goats", but was overruled when somebody pointed out that we hadn't actually sacrificed any goats. To which I should have replied that there was plenty of time left, and it didn't have to be a real goat.
There was also some debate on whether we were Fiddleheads or The Fiddleheads.
