and me I been a long time gone

My dear friends, the Powers That Be are willing. I will shortly be moving to New York City and living there until (Other Powers That Be willing) the end of this summer.

Any Helpful Advice you care to impart would be greatly appreciated, especially as regards apartment-hunting. I feel very Small-town Girl Goes to Big City to Make Her Fortune.

Except without the Making Fortune part.

Well, I guess I can hope for that too. ;)

;lskjfdl;akjsf;ljasl;dfjls YOU ARE MOVING TO NEW YORK.

Of course, you need to pick a place and STAY THERE for more than a few months, but anyway. CONGRATS. I have never gone apartment-hunting anywhere, but if you IM Mom she might have some insights? I mean, I don't think she's done apartment hunting either, but she's just good like that.

Congrats!!!! That's so wonderful!!!!! *does a little dance * My only pieces of apartment hunting advice are 1. use the Wellesley network to get suggestions on landlords, and 2. look at craigslist.
Congrats again!

Craigslist and I have become very good friends recently! That's how I found my Vancouver apartment too. I hadn't thought of using the Wellesley network. Must do that!

Will do. Mostly I need help with neighborhoods, etc. There seem to be a lot of furnished rooms in Brooklyn.
