I never questioned that Blaise was a girl until I was somewhere around the fifth book and Rowling finally came out and said that Blaise is a guy. I was very shocked :)

Hmm. I always assumed that he was a guy for some reason, but I have no idea why. :) Have you ever met anyone named Blaise? I haven't.
