I'm outlining the various influences that led to Post-Structuralism as a critical movement. In order to make sense of what I know I'm supposed to be telling people about Derrida, I had to leave out everything the textbook tells us was important about his work.

I think there may be something wrong with my brain.

Seriously, can't we just all agree that metaphysics is silly and then go have cupcakes?

that being said, I am very glad I don't have to write a paper on the subject. wading through lit crit reminds me of trying to straighten a tangled ball of yarn, only to realize that there are more than one balls of yarn in there and the colors keep changing.
