In which I rant about Greek
May. 11th, 2004 11:15 amYo ho, yo ho, a pirate's life for me!
I toil and study the whole flipping day,
Drink up, me hearties, yo ho!
I really wish that there were some other way,
Drink up, me hearties, yo ho!
Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate's life for me!
There's Bio to review and Greek to decline,
Drink up, me hearties, yo ho!
Philosophy and shipwrecks also are mine,
Drink up, me hearties, yo ho!
Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate's life for me!
Verbs and nouns both have weird endings that change,
Drink up, me hearties, yo ho!
That's not counting adjectives, they're really strange,
Drink up, me hearties, yo ho!
Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate's life for me!
There's adverbs and numerals on every page,
Drink up, me hearties, yo ho!
The Aorist Active tense is all the rage,
Drink up, me hearties, yo ho!
Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate's life for me!
The Greeks were nuts and there's no contest to that,
Drink up, me hearties, yo ho!
Deponents and -mi-verbs in three seconds flat,
Drink up, me hearties, yo ho!
Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate's life for me!
Phew.
