Procrastination, of course
Mar. 28th, 2004 07:03 pmThanks to Rachel for the pretty re-vamped icon! My roomie is cool, and so are her computer programs that can make pretty animated icons.
And now, for your perusal, the first installment of Fiona's As-yet Untitled Memoirs:
My first impression of Greece, after an afternoon of clouds and spectacular (albeit currently anonymous) snow-capped mountains interspersed with random periods of unconsciousness, was of clusters and threads of light amid large spaces of darkness. There were broad, flat plains of seeming nothingness, and there were lone dark hills crowned with lights like a tiara of bulbs on an electric chandelier.
My second thought was, "I wonder if 'zoographou' still means what I think it did three thousand years ago." I shall have to find out what relevance a painter in the genitive singular has to a designated camping site.

Date: 2004-03-30 04:40 pm (UTC)The Memoirs of Mr. Salmon P. Wiggle, Esq. : Gentleman
Monday, the 1st of March, 2004 8:31 in the evening.
I, Mr. Salmon P. Wiggle, Esq., have decided to write my memoirs commemorating my extraordinary adventures as the companion of the internationally reknowned, Goat-Girl.
I had thought of writing them for some time now, but it has not been the right time. One must always begin at the beginning, and since it is the first of the month, I have decided to begin.
As I sit in my library by the fire, I reflect on all the adventures I on which I accompanied her. A rather strange creature really. There was this one that occured before I met her, that involved a dragon of some sort, I believe. And a Mr. Harry Potter. Apparently he is a big-to-do in the wizarding world, according to her, but seriously one of the most untidy people I have ever met. I do not believe he has ever seen the right side of a hair brush before. And then there is the cutting of split ends with a nail-clipper or something of that nature. As I told Miss Goat-Girl when she told me this story, when cutting split ends, one must always use a stainless steel pair of cutical scissors, but one should not have split ends to begin with. I recommended my butler, Phips, to her in the future for finding the proper hair dresser. I don't know if she has spoken with him yet.
In anycase, I am going to retire. Until next time,
Mr. Salmon P. Wiggle, Esq.

Date: 2004-03-31 05:11 am (UTC)Yay! *happiness dance* I will soon pen The Adventures of Goat-Girl and Harry, Part II. In which our heroine sings, convinces Harry that he is not, in fact, a sea urchin, and the famous Mr. Salmon P. Wiggle, Esq. makes an appearance under most unusual circumstances.
